What Is The Military Disc Golf Tour
Who Are We?
The MDGT is a group of Active Duty Military personnel stationed over seas and passionate members in our local disc golf community, but passionate about growing the sport over all military branches with US Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines all being represented in helping run this Tour.
What Are We Doing?
The over all goal is to help improve the quality of events and quality of life for military members and families. Helping them stay connected to a sport with an amazing community and family. Also Giving the opportunity for new tournament directors to learn the skills needed to run events on a small scale and being able to obtain players packs with out the huge over head
Where Is This Happening?
On US military bases all over the world. We have amazing clubs in Germany, Japan, South Korea, Italy, The United Kingdom that have spoken and showed interest in running events. (Germany, South Korea, Japan Confirmed as of Dec 2022). With plants to confirm more dates soon.
How Is This All Going To Happen?
To help all TD’s running events the MDGT is covering all the over head. When a TD confirms the number of players for an event, all they need to do is reach out to the staff and we will ship players packs, help with PDGA sanctioning, and Disc Golf Scene tournament set up. We aim to help and teach who ever wishes to run events, along with helping to give military members a chance to keep playing the game they love with the same level tournament experience as back home.
